66-year-old Thomas Alexander was out hunting deer in the Ozark Mountains near Yellville, Arkansas.
When he spotted a buck from his deer stand, he quickly whipped out his Muzzleloader rifle and shot him. Alexander then left the stand to check on the buck, but much to his surprise, the buck wasn’t dead.
Ready to seek revenge and protect himself, the buck got up and attacked Alexander, goring him multiple times.
Alexander managed to call his wife, who alerted emergency services. They promptly arrived on the scene but Alexander stopped breathing before they were able to request air transportation. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Wildlife officers are currently searching the woods in the area to find the buck who killed Alexander.
Sadly, this was not the first time a hunter had gotten injured by a buck in Arkansas.
